Kyuta e' un bambino senza genitori. Smarritosi per le vie di Tokio, si ritrova in un universo parallelo dove incontra Kumatetsu, una creatura simile ad un orso che lotta per vivere. Kumatetsu prende Kyuta sotto la sua protezione e gli insegna tutti i segreti dell'arte del combattimento. Ormai cresciuto, il giovane Kyuta torna a Tokio mosso dal desiderio di riscoprire le sue origini. Li' scoprira' l'amore e una verita' che non credeva piu' possibile... Ma proprio nel momento in cui sembrava raggiunta la serenita', i nemici del passato si ripresentano minando la sicurezza dell'intera citta'.
