Cheyenne, rock star ritiratasi dalle scene, conduce la vita annoiata e monotona di un pensionato benestante fino a quando decide di partire alla ricerca di quello che fu il persecutore del padre, un ex criminale nazista che si nasconde negli Stati Uniti. Solo dopo la morte del padre, Cheyenne viene a conoscenza del dramma che aveva vissuto come internato ad Auschwitz e dell'umiliazione inflittagli da un ufficiale SS.
